The Master of Biotechnology Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada successfully held the Biotechnology Career Lecture, an initiative designed to broaden students’ perspectives and prepare them for opportunities in global research and biotechnology industries. The event took place on Friday, 31 October 2025, from 13:00 to 14:30 WIB, in the Lecture Room, 3rd Floor, PAU Building, UGM.
This session featured a distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Yudhi Nugraha, S.Si., M.Biomed, a researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), known for his extensive international research experience and contributions to various global scientific collaborations.
During the lecture, Dr. Yudhi presented insights into his ongoing research projects and delivered an in-depth introduction to Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM)—a state-of-the-art imaging technique that enables the visualization of biomolecular structures at near-atomic resolution. Students gained valuable knowledge about the principles of Cryo-EM, its applications in modern biotechnology, and emerging career prospects in the field of structural biology.
This activity aims to strengthen students’ competencies, expand their academic networks, and inspire them to pursue research careers both domestically and internationally.
With this career lecture, the Master of Biotechnology Program at UGM reaffirms its commitment to developing highly skilled human resources capable of competing globally in the field of biotechnology.
