Study Program Master of Biotech, as a multidisciplinary study program, is supported by human resources from 11 supporting Faculties, including the Faculties of Biology, Pharmacy, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Dentistry, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, Agricultural Technology, Forestry, and Engineering. Currently, the study program consists of 75 teaching staff. To represent the multidiscipline characters, each course is taught
by a team teaching from different faculties.
Study Program Master of Biotech was established in 1994 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia number: 27/DIKTI/Kep/1994 dated January 28, 1994. The study program received its first accreditation in 2000 based on the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Ministry of National Education RI number:
025/BAN-PT/Ak-I/S2/IX/2000. To date, the SP-MBiotech has experienced accreditation five times. Since 2005, the study program has received an excellent rating (A). The last accreditation was obtained in 2021 based on the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia number 3175/SK/BANPT/Ak-PPJ/M/V/2021 with an excellent rating (A).
