The Biotechnology Study Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed 80 delegates of Forum Pemuda Perubahan (FPP) 2026 as part of a national study visit organized by the Yayasan Forum Mahasiswa Beasiswa Aspirasi Wakil Ketua DPD-RI Tamsil Linrung (Formasita). The participants represent selected youth from 24 provinces across Indonesia.

The visit, held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM WIB, aimed to strengthen scientific literacy, leadership, and youth capacity through exposure to biotechnology as a future-oriented solution. During the session, participants attended a public lecture entitled “Biotechnology as a Future Solution: Scientific Innovation for Food Security, Health, and Environmental Sustainability.”
Through this activity, participants gained insights into recent biotechnology research and innovations as well as their applications in addressing global challenges. The program is expected to empower delegates to become change agents in their respective regions by promoting sustainable science-based innovations tailored to local needs.

Forum Pemuda Perubahan has been held since 2020 and enters its seventh edition in 2026. The program serves as a platform for youth capacity building while strengthening national networks in education, innovation, and sustainable development.
The UGM Biotechnology Study Program expressed its support for the initiative as a form of collaboration between higher education institutions and youth communities in strengthening a science-based innovation ecosystem and fostering adaptive, innovative young leaders who contribute to national development.
