The Biotechnology Study Program, Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), is pleased to host a guest lecture entitled “Targeting Inflammation,” which will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 13:00 to 14:00 WIB, at the Lecture Room, 3rd Floor, Biotechnology Study Program, PAU Building, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

This special lecture will feature Prof. Avril Robertson, Associate Dean Research and Deputy Executive Dean at the Faculty of Science, The University of Queensland (Australia), as the keynote speaker. In this session, Prof. Robertson will present recent scientific advances in targeting inflammation, a key biological process involved in many chronic diseases and health conditions.

The guest lecture is part of the program’s academic initiative to enrich knowledge and foster scientific discussion among students and scholars in the field of biotechnology, particularly in molecular and biomedical approaches. The topic is expected to provide insights into inflammation mechanisms and innovative therapeutic strategies, while also opening opportunities for international research collaboration.

This event is primarily intended for Master’s and Doctoral students of the Biotechnology Study Program, but it is also open to the public. Participants are invited to register through the link provided in the official event poster.

Through this event, the Biotechnology Study Program at UGM aims to continue providing high-quality academic forums that encourage knowledge exchange and strengthen global academic networks.
