The Master’s Program in Biotechnology, Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), will hold an open thesis defense as part of the academic requirements for graduate students.

The session will take place on:
Day/Date: Thursday, June 25, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM (WIB)
Venue: Biotechnology Lecture Room, 3rd Floor, Graduate School UGM
Online Access: Zoom Meeting (http://ugm.id/SidangTerbuka)

On this occasion, Vidia Ajeng Supriyati, a Master’s student in Biotechnology at UGM, will undertake her open thesis defense by presenting her research entitled:
“Production of Recombinant NoroVLP-SpyTag Protein Using Local Strain PS01 Bombyx mori Larvae as a Basis for Antigen Display Platform Development.”

Vidia’s research focuses on the development of recombinant protein production technology using Bombyx mori larvae, which holds significant potential for advancing antigen display platforms, particularly in vaccine and biomedical applications. The use of the local PS01 strain also highlights the contribution to strengthening research based on Indonesia’s biological resources.

This open defense is accessible to the public, both onsite and online, and is expected to serve as a platform for disseminating research findings and fostering academic exchange in the field of biotechnology.
